A meeting held at the Capital Secretariat, chaired by the head of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, on Tuesday discussed the conditions , needs of the Orphan Development Foundation and the services it provides to orphaned children.
The meeting, which included the heads of the Planning Committee, Sharaf Al-Hadi, and the Services Committee, Adel Al-Aqqari, as well as the Director of the Health and Environment Office at the Secretariat, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Majed Azzan, reviewed the foundation's activities and ways to address the challenges it faces.
Discussions focused on mechanisms for cooperation , coordination between the local authority in the Secretariat and the Orphan Development Foundation to enhance care and services for orphans. The meeting also highlighted support for rehabilitation and training programs aimed at economically empowering orphans by equipping them with necessary skills.
Al-Naqeeb praised the efforts and role of the Orphan Development Foundation in providing educational, health, and social care services, as well as financial sponsorships for orphans. He affirmed the Capital Secretariat's readiness to cooperate with the foundation.
