Sana’a – SABA:
Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Mujahid Abdullah, conducted an inspection visit today to the Specialized Court for Agricultural, Water, and Environmental Cases in the Capital Secretariat.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation, and equipment installations at the court’s premises.
He was briefed by the court’s president, Judge Anwar Al-Huraisha, on operational requirements, as well as the technical, office, and IT equipment already in place. Judge Al-Huraisha also outlined the expected caseload that may be referred to the court from relevant ministries, agencies, or other courts in the Capital Secretariat and neighboring governorates. The court’s jurisdiction extends across three provinces.
Minister Abdullah emphasized the urgency of completing the necessary technological upgrades and facility expansions to enable the court to begin handling its assigned duties. These include adjudicating agricultural disputes, combating environmental crimes, addressing pesticide smuggling, and protecting water resources—all essential to enhancing water and food security.
