RAMALLAH May 01. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy forces have launched an arrest campaign that targeted at least 20 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, including a child and former detainees.
The Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club reported in a statement issued on Wednesday that the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Hebron, Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Tubas, Nablus, Jericho, and al-Quds.
The statement indicated that the enemy continues to carry out acts of abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.
It pointed out that the enemy arrested dozens of workers from the West Bank, allegedly entering the 1948 territories to work without a permit, and it was not possible to know their numbers and identities.
It is noteworthy that the total number of arrests after October 7 reached more than 8,535, and this number includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
