The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman emphasized in a joint statement on Wednesday the strengthening of bilateral relations, expanding economic partnership, supporting a ceasefire in Gaza, and appreciating Oman’s role in nuclear negotiations.
According to Mehr News Agency, at the conclusion of the official visit of Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to Muscat, Iran and Oman reaffirmed in their joint statement the historical and strong ties between the two brotherly nations, sustainable bilateral cooperation, mutual respect between the two countries' leaders, and the development of relations in all fields.
In the statement, the two countries announced their decision to open new horizons in economic partnership, support the private sector in increasing trade and investments, continue regional , international coordination, and condemn the practices of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people while supporting efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The two sides also welcomed Oman’s effective role in facilitating indirect talks between Iran and the United States on nuclear issues, as well as the issuance of a joint postage stamp as a symbol of cultural diplomacy.
