Basem Naim, a senior official in the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas," confirmed that the movement's leadership is thoroughly and responsibly evaluating its response to the proposal put forward by the U.S. envoy.

In media statements on Thursday, Naim stated that Hamas had received the "Israeli" response to the proposal, which was previously agreed upon with U.S. envoy "Steve Wittkof" last week.

He explained that the "Israeli" response, in essence, signifies the occupation's approval of the continued killing and starvation (even during a temporary truce) and fails to meet any of the demands of the Palestinian people, foremost among them ending the war and famine.

Naim emphasized that the movement's leadership is carefully assessing its response to the proposal, taking into account the ongoing genocide faced by the Palestinian people.
