Kulsary - Saba:
Two people were killed and 14 others injured following a powerful explosion and subsequent large-scale fire at a fuel station in Kulsary city, located in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region.
Local newspaper Tengri News reported on Friday, citing official sources, that "the incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left 14 others with injuries of varying severity."
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, "the explosion occurred at the fuel station, after which the fire spread to three adjacent single-story buildings and a two-story building located behind them."
Following the explosion, regional authorities held an emergency operational meeting, while 60 rescue personnel and ten equipment units were quickly dispatched to the scene.
A circulating video showed flames and thick smoke billowing from the explosion site, with the fire extending to nearby buildings, posing a threat to infrastructure.
Authorities confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the explosion and the full extent of the damage.
