Thousands of Mauritanians in the capital Nouakchott participated on Friday in a solidarity march with Gaza demanding an end to the Zionist genocide on the Gaza Strip, under the slogan "Gaza 600 days of steadfastness and gratitude".
According to the Palestinian Safa news agency, the march was called by the "National Rabat for the Support of the Palestinian People," a non-governmental organization concerned with organizing events in support of Palestine.
The march was organized under the slogan "Gaza 600 days of steadfastness and heroism" and was attended by politicians and human rights defenders.
The march started from the Grand Mosque in Nouakchott to the headquarters of the United Nations representative in the Mauritanian capital.
Participants waved Palestinian and Mauritanian flags and chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian factions in Gaza.
The demonstrators also chanted slogans calling for the severing of diplomatic relations with countries that support the enemy, while holding the United States responsible for the continued aggression against Gaza.
