Gold prices rose on Wednesday, as investors awaited the U.S. core personal consumption expenditures report.
Spot gold rose 0.3 percent to $3,308.99 per ounce, recovering slightly from a 1 percent decline in the previous session. U.S. gold futures rose 0.2 percent to $3,308.30.
Other precious metals were mixed. Spot silver stabilized at $33.31 per ounce, platinum rose 0.4 percent to $1,084.07, and palladium fell 0.2 percent to $976.22.
