Gaza – Saba:
The Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip reported on Thursday that the Israeli enemy is providing air cover for thieves in the Gaza Strip to target security personnel.
The ministry said in a statement that Israeli enemy aircraft targeted a group of police officers on Thursday afternoon, killing 11 Palestinians, including children and police officers, and wounding dozens.
The ministry stated that the attack occurred in a densely populated area while police officers were performing their duties near the Al-Saraya intersection in central Gaza City, according to Quds Press.
The ministry explained that the police officers were performing their duties, confronting a group of thieves, when enemy aircraft launched an airstrike that directly targeted them, resulting in the deaths of martyrs and injuries among passersby, in a new massacre that adds to the record of the enemy's crimes against the Palestinian people.
It confirmed that "investigations revealed coordination between the thieves, led by agents, and enemy aircraft, which provide them with air cover to target security personnel." It added that "this integration of roles seeks to create chaos and spread terror among citizens, as part of an organized criminal scheme."
The Ministry of Interior emphasized its continued commitment to its national duty to protect the lives and property of citizens despite the heavy losses among its personnel. It emphasized that the perpetrators of these crimes, both agents and thieves, "will not escape punishment, and that seeking refuge with the Israeli enemy will not protect them from justice."
The Ministry called on Palestinian families to "assume their national and moral responsibilities at this sensitive stage and to lift the cover from anyone who colludes with the enemy or contributes to threatening the security of society." It affirmed its determination to continue strict field measures to protect public safety.
