Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast hot to very hot weather in the deserts, plains, and coastal areas, with scattered and variable rainfall across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that hot to very hot and dry weather is expected in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 46 degrees Celsius.
It will be hot and humid along the coasts, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 39 degrees Celsius.
Rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is likely in the governorates of Al Dhale'e, Taiz, Ibb, Sa'dah, and the highlands of Abyan and Lahj. Scattered rain is also likely in parts of the governorates of Amran, Al Mahwit, west of Sana'a and Dhamar, and the highlands of Shabwah and Hadramaut.
The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Hadda-Sana'a over the past 24 hours was 10.8 mm, Amran-10 mm, and As-Saddah-Ibb-2 mm.
Scattered rain also fell outside the stations in parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Dhamar, Raymah, Dhale'a, Taiz, Lahj, and Abyan.
The center warned citizens of the hot and extremely hot weather and advised them to avoid direct sun exposure during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.
It also warned against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
