DAMASCUS December 08. 2023 (Saba) - Syrian armed forces have foiled a terrorist attack in the western countryside of Aleppo, killed several terrorists and downed seven drones, the Syrian defense ministry late on Thursday.

"Units of our armed forces, working on the direction of Aleppo country, fended off a terrorist attack launched by armed terrorist groups on some military checkpoints," SANA news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.

Tens of the terrorists were killed or injured and their ordnance damaged, the statement added, as "a number of the dead attackers were pulled."

The armed forces in the same front "shot down seven booby-trapped unmanned aerial vehicles that tried to attack some of our military sites," according to the ministry.
