SANA'A, Jan. 20 (Saba) - Parliament speaker Yahya al-Rai' on Thursday sent a congratulatory message to Roberta Mezzola on the occasion of her election as President of the European Parliament.
In the telegram, al-Rai' affirmed the keenness of Yemen's Parliament to consolidate relations, enhance cooperation, and coordinate common positions and visions with the European Parliament in parliamentary forums on issues of common interest, especially with regard to supporting the cause of the Yemeni people and lifting brutal aggression and unjust siege on Yemen.
He considered that the Yemeni people seek for the European Parliament to register a firm stance on stopping the aggression, ending the siege, and permanently opening Yemeni seaports and airports.
