Sana'a - (Saba):
Foreign Minister Jamal Amer met on Monday with Acting WFP Representative Bai Thapa and received a letter confirming preparations to resume the second cycle of emergency food aid, which had been suspended in recent months.
Minister Amer expressed hope that the WFP’s renewed activities in Sana’a would mark a step toward rebuilding trust between the government and the organization, followed by serious practical measures.
Thapa noted that a senior WFP envoy, with support from WFP leadership in Rome, is actively engaging donors to help restore funding for the Sana’a office and revive previously scaled-back projects.
