SANA'A, Apr. 07 (Saba) - Water and Sanitation Corporation in the Capital Sana'a, has warned of catastrophic consequences if the sewage treatment plant ceases to operate due to running out of fuel, which will lead to widespread epidemics and diseases.

A statement issued on Tuesday indicated that the continued detention of oil ships will lead to the suspension of more than 70 waterbl wells pumping about 1.150,000 cubic meters per month.

More than seven million citizens and displaced persons in the capital will be deprived of drinking water, the statement read.

The Corporation held the United Nations fully responsible for the environmental and humanitarian disaster that threatened the lives of millions of citizens.
