ANAA, March 4 (Saba) - Head of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic Ahmed Hamed opened on Sunday at the General Hospital of the Thawra in Sanaa the Oxygen Medical Factory.
During the opening, Hamed listened to an explanation of the importance of the plant and its role in alleviating the financial burdens that the Authority of the Hospital as well as cost paid annually. It will produce 220 oxygen bottles of 40 liters per day, which will save about 380 million riyals annually.
During the visit, the Director Hamed was briefed on the progress of the renovation work of the hospital's infrastructure in the fields of water and sanitation and renovations of the main building from inside and outside, which came in the framework of modernization of the hospital in order to improve the medical services provided to citizens.
He heard from the Chairman of the Authority of Hospital to explanation on the restoration process in the Authority of Hospital, which are funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the medical services provided and the difficulties encountered in the work process, especially due to the lack of medicines, equipment and medical supplies.
Hamed was briefed on the work of the Emergency, Accident and Critical Care Department and a number of departments as well as the level of medical care provided to the sick and injured.
He stressed on the importance of providing full care for patients and wounded and upgrading medical services.
