KUWAIT, June 14 (Saba) – The committee on prisoners and detainees held on Tuesday a joint session at Bayan Palace in Kuwait city in presence of the United Nations delegate.

In the session, the national delegation proposed forming a joint committee from the two parties ( the national delegation and Riyadh's delegation) and the United Nations to visit prisons and detention camps of the two parties to check on the status of prisoners and detainees.

The national delegation criticized strongly the suffering of the prisoners from torture and inhumane practices, particularly in the provinces of Mareb and Dhala.

Moreover, the national delegation protested the intended stall by the delegation of Riyadh who was not committed to any step has already been agreed upon.
