Madrid – Saba:
Spanish club Atletico Madrid announced on Monday the official signing of Italian striker Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli on a five-year contract.
Italian media reported that the deal was worth a total of approximately 26 million euros, equivalent to 30.14 million US dollars.
Raspadori, 25, is a prominent talent in Italian football. He began his professional career with Sassuolo before moving to Napoli on loan in 2022, contributing to the team's Serie A title win in his first season. Raspadori's permanent purchase option was activated after the end of that season.
Raspadori continued his impressive form with Napoli, winning their second consecutive league title last season. He made 88 appearances in Serie A, scoring 13 goals, although most of his appearances came off the bench.
Internationally, Raspadori was part of the Italian national team that won the Euro 2020 title. He has made 40 international appearances and scored nine goals for his country.
