Gaza – Saba :
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced on Monday that famine and malnutrition in Gaza have reached their highest levels ever.
In a post about the food security situation in Gaza on the X platform, monitored by Yemen’s SABA News Agency, the WFP stated that “more than one-third of the population have gone days without eating,” and “half a million people are on the brink of famine.”
The agency emphasized, “We urgently need to flood Gaza with large-scale food assistance.”
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing an unprecedented wave of hunger since the Israeli enemy closed the sector’s crossings in early March and imposed strict restrictions on the entry of food aid, relief supplies, fuel, and medicine.
Over time, Gaza’s residents have exhausted all food resources, shops have become empty, and finding even a loaf of bread has become nearly impossible. Meanwhile, available goods have seen skyrocketing prices, making “death by starvation” one of the harshest causes of death in the territory.
