The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed today, Monday, that it is time to turn words into actions toward finding an immediate solution to the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
In a post on the X platform, monitored by the Yemen News Agency (SABA), the agency said that children in Gaza are dying from hunger and bombing.
It added: In Gaza, entire families, neighborhoods, and generations are being wiped out.
UNRWA considered that negligence and silence amount to complicity.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip face an unprecedented wave of hunger since the Israeli enemy closed the sector’s crossings at the beginning of last March and imposed strict restrictions on the entry of food aid, relief supplies, fuel, and medicine.
As time passes, Gaza’s residents have exhausted all food resources, shops have become empty, and finding a loaf of bread has become almost impossible. Meanwhile, the prices of available goods have skyrocketed, making "death by hunger" one of the most brutal causes of death in the area.
