Gaza – SABA:
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) stated on Monday that the Zionist enemy’s assassination of journalists and media workers in Gaza is a dangerous indicator of its intent to commit the most heinous crimes in the Strip, as it desperately seeks to erase any media coverage exposing its atrocities. The PFLP emphasized that the truth is a direct enemy of the Zionist regime.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the PFLP mourned the martyrs of truth from Al Jazeera’s team in Gaza—journalists Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qureiqa, along with cameramen Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal—who were martyred in a deliberate and direct strike on their media tent near Al-Shifa Hospital.
The PFLP stressed that this is a fully documented Zionist war crime, reaffirming that this enemy recognizes no humanity or law.
The Front stated that this brutal targeting inside a hospital compound occurred while journalists were performing their noble duty—documenting, through images and sound, the tragedy of the Palestinian people and the suffering of civilians. This proves that the Zionist enemy views the truth as a direct threat and seeks by all means to silence every free, honest, and courageous voice.
The PFLP praised the "heroic and professional role" of martyr Anas Al-Sharif, whose reports served as a bridge conveying Gaza’s tragedy to the world, alongside his colleagues who were the voice of the victims, the image of pain, and the cry of the starving under siege. This, the PFLP said, is why the Zionist enemy assassinated them—to break the camera and extinguish the truth.
The statement added: "While the Zionist enemy falsely claims to allow foreign journalists into Gaza, its bloodstained hand carries out a massacre against a civilian press team armed only with microphones and cameras—yet they were the most dangerous weapon against it."
The PFLP warned that international silence on the Zionist enemy’s crimes against journalists amounts to complicity, urging journalistic unions, media organizations, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), and human rights groups to take urgent action to stop the massacres and bring Zionist leaders before international courts.
