Sana’a – SABA:
The Supreme Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies, the National Center for Health Media and Education, the National Tuberculosis Control Program, and the National Malaria Control Program held a solidarity rally on Saturday in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and in condemnation of the ongoing genocide, starvation, and blockade policies.
Participants in the rally—including the head of the Supreme Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies, Dr. Amin Qabas, along with leaders of the organizing bodies and their staff—denounced the massacres committed by the Israeli enemy against civilians in the Strip, calling them an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in modern history. They urged the international community and human rights organizations to act immediately to stop the aggression, lift the blockade, and allow the entry of humanitarian and medical aid.
A statement issued at the rally, read by Deputy Chairman of the Authority Dr. Mohammed Al-Noa’mi, stressed that the killing, starvation, and deprivation of medicine in Gaza—along with the deaths of children from hunger—constitute a full-fledged crime and a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions, representing one of the most horrific examples of occupation and brutality in modern times.
The statement asked: “How long will more than two billion Muslims and the peoples of the world remain mere witnesses to the crime of the century in Gaza? How long will the killers plant death and breathe lies without accountability? How long will silent voices remain complicit in the shedding of blood? The moment has come—will the world stand with truth or with injustice and aggression?”
It called for breaking the Israeli blockade and urgent international action to halt the slow genocide, noting that hospitals and health centers in Gaza have recorded in recent days hundreds of new daily cases of acute, life-threatening malnutrition, with no capacity for treatment due to the collapse of the health sector and lack of medical and food resources.
The statement urged free people worldwide to maintain pressure for the entry of food, baby formula, nutritional supplements, medicines, medical supplies, and medical teams into Gaza, holding the U.S. administration fully responsible for the engineered starvation and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Strip amid continued Israeli aggression and the ongoing blockade.
