Taiz – SABA
A training course in animal health and care concluded today in Taiz Governorate, with the participation of 38 trainees from the Al-Ta’aziyah and Mawiyah multipurpose cooperative agricultural associations.
The 19-day course was organized by Bonyan Development Foundation with funding from the local authority in the governorate, through the Agricultural and Fisheries Project and Initiative Financing Unit, in cooperation with the Public Mobilization Authority, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and the agricultural sector. It aimed to provide both theoretical and practical training in animal health, preventive methods, and treatments.
The program was designed to enhance the trainees’ capacity to serve rural communities and contribute to sustainable agricultural and livestock development. During the field training, the 38 trainees treated 2,624 infected livestock.
At the closing ceremony — attended by Deputy Governor for Development Affairs Abdulwasa’ Al-Shamsi, Public Mobilization Official Mohammed Al-Khalidi, Agricultural Sector Official Eng. Abdullah Al-Jundi, Head of the Project Financing Unit Hussein Al-Rashdi, Bonyan Coordinator Eyad Awahij, and Executive Director of the Agricultural Union Amer Al-Ahdal — the trainees emphasized the importance of such programs in building rural veterinary capacity and delivering essential veterinary services in targeted districts.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates of appreciation and the distribution of veterinary treatment kits to the participants.
