Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqchi asserted that attempts to disarm Lebanon’s Hezbollah are destined to fail, stressing that the group remains at the peak of its strength and is fully capable of defending itself effectively.
In media remarks, Iraqchi stated:
- "The idea of disarming Hezbollah is not new—it has been proposed before for well-known reasons, primarily the effectiveness of the resistance’s weapons on the battlefield."
- "Some parties have recently revived this plan, mistakenly believing Hezbollah has weakened. However, the decisive stance expressed by Hezbollah’s Secretary-General in a strong statement has thwarted these attempts."
