Moscow – Saba:
Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov stated that the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the U.S. Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, held at the Kremlin on Wednesday, was "useful and constructive."
“Our President received Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the U.S. President, this morning. They had a very useful and constructive conversation,” Ushakov told reporters, according to Sputnik.
Ushakov explained that the main topics discussed were: “First and foremost, the Ukrainian crisis. The second topic was the prospects for the potential development of strategic cooperation between the U.S. and Russia.”
He noted that President Putin is fully informed on the Ukraine issue, stating, “Our President has complete information—our signals and those from President Trump. Trump has not yet been briefed on the outcome of this meeting, so I will refrain from giving detailed comments at this point.”
He continued: “We’ll see when Witkoff is able to report back to Trump on the results of today’s talks. After that, we will clearly be able to provide more substantive commentary.”
Earlier today, the Kremlin press office announced the conclusion of the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which lasted approximately three hours.
