Tehran – Saba:
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran warned on Wednesday that any threat to the country’s security or territorial integrity will be met with a “severe and harsh” response, surpassing the enemy’s expectations.
In a statement marking the Arbaeen (40-day commemoration) of the “Martyrs of Power,” the IRGC emphasized that any future retaliation will be more intense than the recent “True Promise 3” operation carried out during the latest conflict with Israeli forces.
According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, the IRGC paid tribute to the “Martyrs of Power,” including senior IRGC commanders, scientists, and civilians who were killed during the 12-day conflict in what was described as a sacred defense against the Israeli enemy.
The statement reaffirmed the IRGC’s commitment to the path of the Islamic Revolution and the goals of the martyrs, praising the Iranian people and armed forces for their resilience amid what it called an imposed war by the U.S. and Israel.
It also highlighted the significance of the recent operations “True Promise 3” and “Glad Tidings of Victory,” portraying them as strategic shifts in the regional deterrence equation. The IRGC claimed these actions successfully imposed a ceasefire on both the U.S. and Israeli forces.
The statement stressed that Iran will continue to develop its defensive and offensive capabilities and that the nation will not succumb to external pressure or threats.
It concluded by attributing the failures of Iran’s adversaries to the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, the unity of the Iranian people, and their unwavering support for the armed forces, calling on the public to attend the Arbaeen ceremonies for the fallen at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Musalla on Thursday.
