Tehran - Saba:
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Islamic countries must make efforts to prevent the continuation of the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip through effective diplomacy and diplomatic pressure.
Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday that Pezeshkian's assertion came during a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Pezeshkian also stressed in the phone call that the tragedies perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza are unacceptable to any free person.
Pezeshkian expressed his hope that Islamic countries would prevent the continuation of these crimes in Gaza through effective diplomacy and diplomatic pressure, and that they would deal with them with cohesion, unity, and responsibility. The Iranian president added, "I have always defended the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, and other Islamic countries must also take a stronger and more effective stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and Gaza. A collective effort to confront the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza will be the solution."
For his part, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also condemned the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza in the phone call, saying, "The Malaysian government issued a strong statement against the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza, and intensive diplomatic efforts are underway to stop the genocide in Gaza. We hope that through the cooperation and assistance of other Islamic countries, we can stop these crimes."
