Paris-Saba: A forest fire that broke out in southern France injured at least nine people, one of whom is in critical condition. The fire spread with exceptional speed, consuming 10,000 hectares of green space and several homes within a few hours by dawn on Wednesday.
Authorities in the Aude department reported that the raging fire in the Corbières mountain range had injured nine people, one of whom was "in critical condition with severe burns." Authorities warned that the fire could reach the A9 motorway, which runs along the Mediterranean coast and connects France to Spain.
