Washington - Saba:
The US Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene accused the Washington administration of "betraying" the interests of the American people by serving the interests of "Israel" at the expense of American interests, and also through its continued funding and support for the conflict in Ukraine. Taylor Greene warned that current foreign policies could lead to Republicans losing support among voters, especially the younger generation.
Taylor Greene said in a post published on the XN platform: "The US administration continues to fund 'offensive wars' in the Middle East, particularly for the benefit of 'Israel,'" stressing that this approach will cost the Republican Party the support of an entire generation of voters "that may never return."
The Republican representative added: "In 2024, Americans voted to end funding for foreign wars... Funding, fueling, and ultimately waging war against Russia on Ukrainian soil is also a betrayal of the majority of Americans, who want no part in funding the killing of innocents in conflicts that have no bearing on their daily lives."
Taylor Greene noted that the Democratic Party 100% supports the war in Ukraine, believing that the roots of this conflict go back to the era of former President Barack Obama, when President Joe Biden was his vice president. She continued: "It is a war started by Democrats, and as usual, Republican neoconservatives were quick to support it."
She also expressed her concern about the growing feeling among voters that the two major parties do not represent their interests, and described US foreign policy as "Absurd," she said, placing Americans' priorities at the bottom of the list, leading to rising prices and a lack of hope for the future.
She added, "There are worrying signs that Washington remains completely deaf. Even the Trump administration is not listening well to the demands of voters."
Taylor Greene previously called for a halt to US military aid to Ukraine, stressing the need to end US involvement in foreign conflicts.
