Olympique de Marseille, the runner-up of the French football league, announced on Thursday the signing of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a free transfer.

The southern French club stated on its official website: "Olympique de Marseille is proud to announce the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese international striker signed his contract with the club this afternoon."

Aubameyang (34 years old) began his career at AC Milan's youth academy and has played for clubs such as Dijon, Lille, Monaco, Saint-Étienne, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. He joins Marseille for the 2023/2024 season.
