Düsseldorf - Saba:
Train services resumed on the railway line between the cities of Düsseldorf and Duisburg in western Germany on Saturday morning, after arson attacks had caused significant disruptions.
A spokesperson for the railway company announced that the line was reopened following repair work and successful operational tests.
The line had been closed since Thursday, after fires damaged vital cables used to operate power converters and traffic signals. Police believe that the incident was caused by unruly vandals and are treating it as an act of sabotage.
The Duisburg–Düsseldorf line, which carries more than 620 passenger trains daily, is considered one of the busiest railway lines in Germany.
