The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine considered, on Saturday, that the visit of US envoy Steve Witkoff to the Gaza Strip yesterday was more like a show-off at a crime scene, with the perpetrator trying to disguise himself as a paramedic.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the movement said that Witkoff's visit comes at a time of mounting international outrage over the ongoing Zionist massacres and starvation war in the Gaza Strip, while Palestinian land is drowning in blood and hunger. It emphasized that what has happened and is happening in Gaza is a systematic crime of genocide, noting that this visit is nothing more than a blatant attempt to beautify the ugliness of the Zionist enemy and whitewash the ugly face of the Trump administration, which stands directly complicit in all the killing, starvation, and displacement to which the Palestinian people are subjected.
It stated that this visit is part of a media disinformation campaign aimed at curbing the growing international outrage, while everyone knows that the US administration is the actual partner and primary encourager of the criminal entity's killing machine's continued crushing of Gaza and its residents.
The Islamic Jihad movement added in its statement: "In this context, the suspicious role of the so-called 'Gaza Humanitarian Foundation' is highlighted. It has become a political tool par excellence, a sadistic shooting range, a trap for the starving, and an arena in which the US administration showcases its ability to manage and engineer starvation."
The Movement added "the truth everyone must know is that the Trump administration can, with a single word—if it wants to—stop the massacres, lift the political cover from the Zionist enemy, stop supplying it with weapons, and force it to open the crossings and end the starvation." She continued, "While we applaud the escalating popular movements globally, we call on the Arab and Muslim peoples to break the cycle of impotence and failure to which the US administration has trapped them."
