Eng. Mohammed Al-Mahdi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology and member of the Advisory Committee for the Third International Conference on the Great Prophet, met today with Abdulrahman Al-Afaad, Deputy Head of the Conference’s Supervisory Committee, and Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, President of the Conference.
The meeting, attended by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amiri, Deputy President of the Conference, Dr. Ali Mudhaffar, Head of the Public Relations Committee, and Abdullah Rabid, Deputy Head of the Preparatory Committee, reviewed a detailed report on preparatory work since the conference’s announcement through the end of Muharram. Discussions also covered the process for receiving research papers from scholars locally and internationally, aligned with the conference’s seven previously announced themes.
Minister Al-Mahdi praised the efforts to prepare for the conference in a manner befitting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), noting that the event reflects Yemen’s distinctive commemoration of the Prophet’s birthday. He affirmed full support to ensure the conference’s success, directing ministry officials to oversee all technical and logistical arrangements during its sessions from 21-23 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH.
Al-Afaad commended the minister’s engagement and the ministry’s backing, emphasizing that all committees are working intensively to finalize preparations, evaluate submitted research, and ensure alignment with the conference’s framework.
