Washington - Saba:
NASA Deputy Administrator Ken Bowersox said that Russia and the United States must cooperate in the deorbiting process of the International Space Station.
During a press conference broadcast by the agency, Bowersox added: "The station requires the efforts of all partners, especially Russia and the United States, which must be able to cooperate to deorbit it."
Dmitry Bakanov, head of Roscosmos, had previously announced, in response to a question from Sputnik, that the station would be deorbited by 2030.
It is worth noting that Russia has extended its operation at the station until 2028, while the other partners want it to continue until 2030. According to Bakanov, a draft program for deorbiting the station has been prepared, and the process is expected to take about two and a half years.
