Gaza - Saba :
The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, renewed her call on Tuesday to sanction Israel to force it to stop its genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Commenting on European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas'' call for Israel to allow aid into Gaza, Albanese said in a post on Facebook: "Too late Ms Callas. Only sanctions can stop Israel.
"It is necessary to suspend the EU's agreement with Israel," the UN rapporteur added. Anything less would be a show that millions of Europeans who are suffering the genocide in Gaza would prefer not to see."
The Gaza Strip is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in its history, with severe famine intertwined with the genocidal crimes waged by Israel since 7 October 2023.
With the complete closure of the crossings and the prevention of the entry of food, medicine and fuel since 2 March, famine has spread across the Strip, with children and patients showing symptoms of acute malnutrition.
With US and European support, the "Israeli" enemy army has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 59,106 Palestinian civilians, mostly children and women, and the injury of 142,511 others, until today, in an inconclusive toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and in the roads that ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
