London - Saba:
Amnesty International said today, Wednesday, that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing mass starvation, and a permanent ceasefire must be implemented, and aid must enter and be distributed.
The organization confirmed, in a post on the "X" platform, that the army of the Israeli entity is preventing aid from entering Gaza, bombing shelters, and turning food, water, and medicine into tools of war, according to the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa."
More than 100 international humanitarian organizations had launched an urgent appeal this morning to allow life-saving aid to enter the Gaza Strip.
These organizations called on governments around the world to take immediate action to open all land crossings with the Gaza Strip, restore the full flow of food, clean water, medical supplies, shelter materials, and fuel through a mechanism led by the United Nations, end the blockade, and approve an immediate ceasefire, following two full months since the start of the operation of the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" plan under Israeli government control.
The Norwegian Refugee Council had previously announced that its aid stocks in Gaza had been completely depleted, indicating that some of its staff are now suffering from hunger themselves.
The Council directly accused the Israeli entity of paralyzing the organization’s work and preventing it from carrying out its humanitarian role.
