Sana’a - Saba:
The Parliament Condemns condemned the barbaric Zionist aggression that targeted civilian facilities in the city of Hodeida.
In a statement issued today, the Parliament considered the attack on Hodeida port a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and all international norms and conventions. It stated that this aggression is part of a series of flagrant violations targeting Yemeni sovereignty.
The statement affirmed that the targeting of civilian infrastructure is a systematic attempt to undermine the will and resources of the Yemeni people, and a desperate attempt to dissuade Yemen from continuing its steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The Parliament noted that the repeated attacks on the civilian port of Hodeida aim to increase the suffering and burden on the Yemeni people and reflect the deep-rooted hatred held by the Zionist entity against the Yemeni people by targeting public life. It emphasized that such aggressive acts demonstrate the failure and confusion of the Zionist entity in achieving its malicious goals.
The Parliament Condemns reiterated that Yemen will continue to support and stand with the Palestinian people until the barbaric aggression is stopped and the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip is lifted, stressing that this principled stance stems from Yemen’s firm belief in the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Parliament once again called on Arab and Islamic parliaments, as well as the free people of the world, to take immediate and effective action to save the Palestinian people from killing, starvation, and blockade that has afflicted them for more than two years.
It also called on the international community and the United Nations to shoulder their legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities regarding the aggression, siege, destruction, and starvation faced by the Palestinian people.
The statement pointed out that the shameful silence of the international community and the Arab and Islamic regimes has encouraged the Zionist entity to commit more heinous crimes against both the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples, as well as the peoples of the region.
The Parliament’s statement also touched on the Qatari and Saudi mediation roles in lifting the blockade on Syria, as stated by the Americans, while asserting that it would have been more appropriate for them to take the same position to lift the siege on the children and women of Gaza and to act quickly to deliver aid and provide food and medicine to save the Palestinian people from a humanitarian catastrophe, as they are now collapsing in the streets from severe hunger that is claiming their lives.
The Parliament questioned: "Where is humanity? Where is Arab and Islamic brotherhood in what is happening in Gaza?" It pointed out that were it not for the silence and betrayal of the Arab regimes, the double standards, and the abandonment by the regimes in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE- and their partnership with the Zionist war criminals supported by the U.S. in killing the people of Gaza - the Zionists would not have reached this level of brutality against their brethren in the occupied Arab territories.
The Parliament stressed that the current situation requires everyone to work on strengthening the unity of the Arab and Islamic nation to confront the increasing Zionist arrogance and recklessness in the region, which threatens regional and international security and stability.
