Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi met today with Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajala, to discuss the status of the ministry and its institutional structure within the framework of the integration and structural development program.
The meeting focused on the ministry’s activities and humanitarian interventions aimed at supporting vulnerable groups, with particular emphasis on economic empowerment for persons with disabilities and their integration into society.
Minister Bajala submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister concerning a draft amendment to certain provisions of the law establishing the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled. The amendment is scheduled to be discussed by the Cabinet in response to the urgent needs of people with disabilities.
Prime Minister Al-Rahwi reaffirmed the significant humanitarian, ethical, and national responsibility entrusted to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, especially following its structural merger.
He instructed the ministry to prioritize education, vocational training, and rehabilitation programs for people with disabilities, enabling them economically and integrating them into society as active, productive contributors to national development.
He also expressed appreciation for the substantial efforts made by the ministry and its affiliated entities in supporting all the social groups benefiting from its humanitarian initiatives.
