Hodeida - Saba:
Religious scholars and preachers in Hodeida province held a large gathering today under the theme "No Excuse Before God in Supporting Gaza and Confronting Zionist-American Plots," organized by the Guidance and Religious Affairs Sector and the Scholars’ Unit in the governorate.
The event, attended by governor Abdullah Attifi and various local officials, emphasized the religious duty to support the Palestinian people against the ongoing aggression and siege in Gaza. Scholars condemned silence and neutrality, calling them betrayal to Allah, His Messenger, and the oppressed.
Speakers stressed that supporting Palestine is a religious obligation that doesn’t lapse over time, regardless of one’s capacity—whether through prayer, awareness, media, or arms.
Sheikh Saleh al-Khawlani and other scholars urged religious leaders to take the lead in mobilizing the public, asserting that the mosque pulpit must echo the truth and awaken the spirit of dignity and resistance within the Muslim nation.
The meeting highlighted the systematic genocide in Gaza and condemned global silence, calling for continued military actions, particularly in the Red Sea and against Zionist targets, as legitimate responses to the blockade and massacres.
Scholars urged Islamic unity, setting aside sectarian and political differences to confront a shared enemy. They called for transforming mosques, schools, and cultural centers into hubs of resistance and education.
A final statement, read by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal, declared the aggression on Gaza a war on Islam. It urged full mobilization to support Gaza and the Palestinian resistance by all possible means—financial, military, and popular.
The statement also condemned normalization and foreign cultural influences that glorify the enemy, calling for rejecting American agendas and standing behind the resistance.
Hodeida's scholars praised Yemen’s leadership, people, and armed forces for their unwavering support of Gaza and lauded the military operations that imposed a naval blockade on the enemy’s port of Umm al-Rashrash.
The event was attended by prominent religious figures from across the Islamic spectrum, including representatives of Sufi, Salafi, Tablighi, and Sunni groups.
