Washington - Saba:
The Wall Street Journal said Iran was able to expose vulnerabilities in Israeli air defense systems during the recent Iran-Israel war.
In an interview with the newspaper, missile defense experts estimated that Iran changed its missile-launching tactics during the days of the operation, acting on the basis of "trial and error.'
According to the report, this move led them to identify gaps in Israel's defense systems. Over time, they launched more advanced missiles with longer ranges and from multiple locations across Iran, reducing the ability of Israeli defense systems to successfully intercept each launch.
Reports also indicated that during the war, the Iranians updated the timing and type of missile launches and even increased the geographical dispersion of their targets, making it more difficult for Israeli defense systems to intercept them.
While the penetration rate of Israel's air defense system was only 8% in the first half of the war, this rate doubled in the second half, reaching 16%.
