The sons of Al-Qabitah District in Lahj province commemorated on Monday the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).
During the event, attended by Lahj’s General Mobilization Official Jamil Al-Sufi, Al-Qabitah Security Director Dawood Ali, and Guidance Sector Official Ali Al-Karrar, the participants emphasized that Ashura is not merely a passing occasion but a crucial milestone to raise awareness of the responsibilities shouldered by the nation’s sons in supporting the oppressed and confronting tyrants and oppressors.
They clarified that Imam Hussein (AS) did not seek power or prestige but rose to establish the truth and teach people that justice cannot be compromised. The speeches highlighted that the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his family, and his companions represents the highest level of sacrifice, loyalty, and steadfastness in upholding the principle of truth.
The speeches also reviewed Imam Hussein’s noble stance when he stood against the tyrants of his time, refusing to submit to them, undeterred by the consequences.
