Tehran - Saba:
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament), asserted that: "If the Zionist regime makes another mistake and attacks Iran again, this illegitimate and criminal regime will be doomed."
Boroujerdi explained in a statement on Friday, as reported by the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday, that: "Certainly, if Israel makes another mistake and attacks Iran again, the end of this usurping, illegitimate, and criminal regime will come to an end, and its lifespan will approach its demise."
He continued: "We have not and will not initiate any aggression in the world. If the Zionist regime commits another mistake, the powerful Iranian military forces will respond more decisively and forcefully to the enemies with unimaginable force, and the world will witness this."
He pointed to the Zionist regime's recent aggression against Iran and the martyrdom of a number of the country's military commanders and scholars, in addition to a number of civilians, recalling that the commission of such crimes by global arrogance has precedents throughout the blessed history of the Islamic Revolution.
He added, "Since the victory of the revolution, the enemies of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic have assassinated dozens of the country's most prominent figures, especially our scientists, unaware that not only has the revolution not stopped, but that those raised on the path of truth and justice have continued this path with increased motivation."
He concluded by saying, "In the recent 12-day war waged by the Zionist regime against the Iranian people, the enemy's goal was to prevent Iran from obtaining peaceful nuclear knowledge. But contrary to their expectations, Iran's elite youth have mastered this knowledge. By God's grace, their deceit and trickery will backfire on them, and this path will continue with greater steadfastness."
