Al-Quds – SABA:
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, announced today, Monday, that it had destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank in southern Gaza in cooperation with the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Brigades said:
“In cooperation with the Al-Qassam Brigades, we destroyed a Zionist Merkava tank that had advanced into the Abasan al-Kabira area east of Khan Yunis, by detonating a side explosive device of the type (Thaqib).”
This comes in the context of the Palestinian resistance factions’ response to the ongoing genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza, with American support, since October 7, 2023. The aggression includes killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, all in disregard of international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop it.
