Gaza – Saba:
The Palestinian Civil Defense Service on Wednesday called for international protection for humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip after three paramedics were martyred in a direct attack by the Israeli army east of Gaza City.
In a statement, the Civil Defense expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of paramedic officers Hussein Muhaisen, Raed al-Attar, and Baraa Afana. They were reportedly martyred by the Israeli enemy army during a direct attack while attempting to rescue injured citizens in the Al-Tuffah area.
The Civil Defense affirmed the fallen paramedics' dedication to their humanitarian duty, stating they "never left their positions throughout this war."
The Directorate condemned the international community's silence regarding the Israeli army's alleged violations of international humanitarian law by continuously targeting emergency and humanitarian service providers.
It reiterated its appeal to humanitarian-minded peoples to urge their governments to condemn Israel and compel it to cease targeting humanitarian efforts.
