Occupied Quds - Saba:
Resistance operations continued in the West Bank and occupied Quds during May, with 315 operations recorded.
These included both qualitative and popular resistance actions, resulting in the death of one Israeli settler and the injury of seven others with varying degrees of severity.
According to a statement by the Palestinian Information Center "Ma'ta," the resistance operations included 19 shootings and armed clashes. Confrontations and clashes with Israeli occupation forces and settlers led to the martyrdom of 18 Palestinians.
On May 7, a Palestinian resistance fighter carried out a shooting near the Barta'a checkpoint southwest of Jenin, injuring two Israeli soldiers. On the same day, the martyr Abdul Fattah Al-Hreibat executed a ramming and stabbing operation near Hebron, wounding a settler.
On May 14, the martyr Nael Samara carried out a shooting near the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit, killing a female settler and seriously injuring another.
It is worth noting that Samara was a freed prisoner released in 2010 after being detained for his affiliation with Hamas. He was rearrested in 2019 and had participated in several resistance operations as part of a resistance cell in recent months, including three shootings—most notably an operation near the "Ariel" settlement on March 12, which left a settler moderately wounded.
Samara was martyred on May 17 during an armed clash with occupation forces in the town of Barqin, west of Salfit.
On May 16, the martyr Mohammad Abu Balda executed a stabbing operation at Bab al-Silsila in the Old City of occupied Quds, injuring an Israeli police officer.
On the popular resistance front, anti-occupation activities continued, with 210 clashes involving stone-throwing against occupation forces, in addition to 10 protests, 8 Molotov cocktail attacks, and 35 instances of confronting settler assaults in various areas across the West Bank.
