Doha - Saba:
A delegation from the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), headed by Mohammed Darwish, Chairman of the Leadership Council, held a meeting with a delegation from the Islamic Jihad Movement, headed by Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala, in the Qatari capital, Doha.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political and field developments in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the crimes of genocide committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people. They also discussed efforts made through mediators to reach an agreement leading to an end to the war.
The two sides stressed the need to halt the comprehensive aggression, withdraw the occupation forces, and ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into any potential political agreement. They commended the efforts made by the mediating parties in this regard.
The meeting addressed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their adherence to their legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and the establishment of a state on all of their national soil, with Jerusalem as its capital, despite the scourge of war, starvation, and destruction they are suffering amidst international impotence and continued silence.
The leaderships of the two movements affirmed the resistance's steadfast position in defending the Palestinian people and confronting the aggression machine, which has failed to break Gaza's will despite the violence of the attacks and the severity of the crimes.
The attendees also condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and inside Palestine, as well as the repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon, emphasizing the need for a unified Arab and Islamic stance in confronting the Zionist terrorist project.
