Kyiv-Saba:
Ukrainian Railways has announced that train tracks in the Kyiv region were damaged by Russian strikes, disrupting transportation and delaying flights.
The company explained via its Telegram channel that the damage to the railways caused some trains to be diverted to avoid the damaged sections, while other trains were forced to travel via a backup track through the city of Fastov.
Data revealed that six trains were delayed due to these disruptions, including four bound for Kyiv and two bound for Cherkasy and Zaporizhzhia (the Ukrainian-controlled region), with delays of up to an hour and a half.
This comes after Ukrainian media reported violent explosions in northern, eastern, western, central, and southern Ukraine, causing widespread power outages, disrupting train traffic, and disrupting the Kyiv metro.
Industrial sites in the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil were also hit, resulting in power outages in parts of the city. The attacks extended to include vital infrastructure in several provinces, causing extensive damage.
