Occupied al-Quds- Saba:
Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshippers performed Eid al-Adha prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday morning.
The Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported that al-Takbirs (saying "Allahu Akbar") were heard, heralding the first day of Eid, amidst large crowds of worshippers, despite restrictions imposed by the Israeli enemy and its settlers.
It noted that Zionist settlers engaged in provocative actions against worshippers exiting al-Aqsa Mosque, either by singing or chanting. They were stationed on Al-Mujahideen Street between Bab al-Hatta and Bab al-Asbat.
The mosque courtyards were filled with worshippers coming from al-Quds and across the Palestinian territories, amid a distinct spiritual atmosphere, despite the restrictions and procedures imposed by the Israeli enemy authorities at the entrances to the Old City and the gates of the mosque.
Worshippers spread out into the mosque courtyards from the early hours of the morning, while the security committees of the Islamic Endowments Department organized the entry and exit movement.
Israeli authorities continue to impose strict security measures in Jerusalem and the vicinity of al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing thousands from entering the city ahead of Eid al-Adha.
