Ukrainian forces launched an attack on the city of Rylsk in Russia's border region of Kursk, killing one woman and injuring five women and another man, according to acting Governor Alexander Khestin.
In a Telegram post, Khestin stated:
"Ukrainian criminals carried out an attack on Rylsk. Preliminary reports confirm, unfortunately, that a 32-year-old woman was killed. Six others were injured—five women and one man. An 83-year-old woman is in serious condition."
- The attack left three minor children without their mother; authorities pledged full support to the family
- Residential buildings and nearby private homes were targeted, with multiple structures damaged by the blast wave
- Emergency response teams are working at the attack site
