Rabat - Saba:
Thousands of citizens demonstrated in several cities across the Kingdom of Morocco after Friday prayers today in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Gaza Strip, which has been suffering from a genocidal crime committed by the Israeli enemy for 20 months.
Moroccan demonstrations in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the occupied West Bank take place regularly on Fridays.
Today's marches are the 79th since the beginning of the genocide against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
Demonstrations took place today in several Moroccan cities, including Chefchaouen, Tangier, and Meknes (north), Inzegane and Agadir (southwest), Taza and Jerada (east), and El Jadida and Azemmour (west), according to Anadolu Agency.
The demonstrations were organized by the Moroccan Committee for Supporting the Nation's Causes (a non-governmental organization). Today's marches were held under the slogan "We Will Not Forget Gaza and Al-Aqsa." Participants expressed their rejection of the plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza and raised Palestinian flags and banners supporting Palestinian factions and the steadfastness of their people.
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These crimes have resulted in the deaths of 54,677 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 125,530 others, as of yesterday, Thursday. This is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews.
