North Korean leader Kim Jong Un affirmed his country's continued unconditional support for Russia regarding the situation in Ukraine and other issues.
North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency reported Wednesday night that during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, Chairman Kim Jong Un affirmed that North Korea will continue to unconditionally support Russia's position and foreign policy on all important international political issues, foremost among them Ukraine, and will responsibly abide by the provisions of the treaty between the two countries.
The meeting discussed strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and mutual cooperation in various fields.
The two countries exchanged views on developments in Ukraine and the international and regional situation, affirming "complete convergence of positions."
Leader Kim Jong Un expressed his hope and confidence that Russia will "continue to achieve victory" in safeguarding the country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security interests.
